Hey Folks, I know it’s been way to long since I posted here and I still need to catch up on my income reports for the past year+ up to the present (1/2012). I’ve had many changes happening in my life recently and it’s complicated matters in the way of niche marketing and making my niche sites as well. Complications that have caused me to not be able to make any new niche sites in the last 3 months of 2011 and the only work being done on the sites I did have were back links by my VA. Yes I have a VA now and that’s for another post.

As some of you know my daughter was exposed to lead due to some shoddy renovations done by the landlord of the place we lived. Because of legal issues with that and bad feelings between he and my family we decided to look for a new place to live and move out. In our process of looking we thought we had found a place and gave a deposit to the people of the new place while we haggled over the lease terms. After not being able to get things in writing, or being told one thing one day, and having it change the following day I decided not to rent from the new landlord and ask for our deposit back. They said we did not fulfill the terms of the rental application and therefore they were going to keep our deposit and deduct a days rent for everyday it did not rent that month, until it gets rented. They eventually sent us a check for about $600 stating they finally got the place rented. Needless to say I was pissed.

I filed against them in small claims court and went back to our current landlord and ask to retract the 30 day notice we had given till be could find a place to live. He said no, he wanted us out and so we had to leave. We couldn’t find a place to live in the 2 weeks left of our lease there so we moved into an extended stay hotel with a kitchenette. And that’s where my experience with location independence started.

We spent two months in that hotel while we looked for a decent place to live and eventually found one that suited our needs as a family. We were able to move in, in the middle of December, just before Christmas, get a Christmas tree and do all of our shopping by Christmas eve. The kids had a great Christmas and so did we. We’re still unpacking and it’s a bit slow as the house we are now in is about 300 sq. ft. smaller than what we were in previously but the yard is big and we now have a pool. We are also paying the same amount of rent we were in the other place and we have a gardener.

We had our day in court with the landlords that kept our deposit and we were able to get back $1500 of the $1850 that we gave them. While I feel we should have gotten it all back, I understand the judge was trying to be fair to all parties and said we did verbally promise to move in. I’m just glad we could get most of our money back. That’s a lot of money in the present times of our economy.

Ok so here’s the income report for October 2010, over a year ago. I’m going to be getting the rest of these income reports done now that I have an office that I can close the door and get down to some serious writing. In the old house my office didn’t have a door and it was also the kids play room. It made it much harder to be able to sit and get some work done as the kids would always interrupt me. Not that I minded it just isn’t conducive to a work environment.

Income Report for September 2010

Hey folks, sorry for the total and complete lag on my monthly income reports, lot’s of things been happening. So this is September 2010′s income report, 5 months late, but I guess better late then never. So the past few months I’ve been perfecting a system of how I build niche sites, how I place content on them, and how I get them ranking with back linking strategies and such. I’ve been working hard at this as I am putting together a membership course for niche site’s and niche marketing. I’ve been using ReviewAzon for getting some content up really quickly and highly suggest it. See my review HERE.

I’m sure there’s a few people out there who have a little extra time and would like to know how to do these little niche sites that build recurring monthly passive income. How’s about an extra $1000-$2000 a month sound to you? I’m sure for some of you it might make all the difference in the world to have a little more income than you have now. Especially in this economy, right? I know every cent counts for me, seeing as how this economy had tore my day time business apart. Which is why I turned to the internet to supplant that income.

This months(September) Amazon was way down, and in my August report it had come up from the previous month, but then went down again. This is all catch up from the past months of figuring out how I was going to make the Amazon Associates thing work for me, as it had started to actually make some income, and got me thinking. You’ll see from this month out, the Amazon income will be going up, and way up in December, but that’s another report.

So even though my Amazon was down many other things were up and going up steadily as I somewhat predicted a few income reports ago.You’ll see somethings fluctuating from this report forward but you should also see things going up. Way up.

July Income Report and a Day in my “Glamorous” Life.

7:15am, Ughh, can’t she at least sleep in till 8:00am?

7:20 am, Get up and change the little ladies diaper, Sarah my daughter(2), stumble out to the kitchen and get her some juice to keep her occupied, while I start the diapers.

7:30am, get the bag of washable, re-usable cloth diapers, by Bum Genius, start the wash cycle. Wash hands, and heat a cup of water for my morning green tea.

7:35am cut up some organic strawberries, to get Sarah started with breakfast. We try to eat ONLY organic food in this household, especially fruits and vegetables.

7:45am, cut up a cantaloupe and give it to Sarah. start checking emails, affiliate sales, AdSense income, Amazon income, check comments.

8:00am, start replying to comments, read other posts by fellow bloggers who are trying to make a living, making a living or are in my crowd or tribe.

8:30-9:00am, make oatmeal with cockroaches and dirt for Sarah. (Raisins and Cinnamon) Feed Sarah.

9:15am, start the second (hot) wash cycle for the diapers, put on Elmo or some other educational program for Sarah, and *try* to get something done, more commenting, reading, emailing and start thinking about what posts I am going to do today. I have over 10 sites I post to weekly, not including this one, as it’s been the one I have neglected most. Not so much anymore.

10:00am, start final rinse cycle for the diapers, continue to work on sites or approving profiles on my main dating site. Start Mary Poppins or Lion King because Sarah likes to sing and dance. So do I.

10:30am, Hang diapers to dry in the back yard.

11:00am, Put Sarah down for a nap, get ready for gym.

11:30am, Hit the gym for an hour and a half, listen to podcasts, let Lisa sleep and get rest.

1:00pm home again, home again, jiggity jig. Feed Sarah lunch. Spend some time with Sarah as she wants daddy time.

2:00pm, put on Lion King or Muppet Show, get diaper shells so they don’t heat rot.

2:10pm, start working again, or at least try.

3:00-6:00pm, try to get as much done as possible as after about 7pm I am toast.

6:00pm, dinner for Sarah.

6:30pm-7:30pm, Daddy time for Sarah, then off to bed at 7:30.

Where’s Lisa in all this? She’s tending to our 3 week old Hannah June. She’s pretty much attached to her for about 1-2 hours, every 3 hours. This will go on for another 4 or so weeks when Lisa’s C-section incision is healed, at which time I might get more time to go work on things at a coffee shop. Until then I am stuck at home doing A LOT. But I like it, this is part of the reason I am doing the whole Internet thing.

8:00pm start dinner for Mommy and Daddy. That’s Me and Lisa.

Dinner is usually at about10pm most days, while making dinner I try to get more done, but sometimes it causes me to burn dinner if I am making it, if Lisa makes dinner it’s a little more time to work on my sites and the dating site.

So yeah, MY life isn’t so glamorous right now. Eventually it will be better and we will be traveling. For now we have a new one to nurture and a business to grow.

In my last post about Quitting The Day Job, I spoke of my IT consulting business that WAS my day job. I also talked about how I am making 2k+ a month now, from stuff online, online referrals, or referrals from people who have used my hosting services and WordPress installs. What I forgot to mention is that even though I am making that nice chunk of change, it is still not enough to support my family completely. What I forgot to say was that we have to pull a little bit each month from our retirement fund, to make ends meet. This does not make me happy, but I am having to pull less and less as this business venture grows.

I do still have 2 very small IT consulting clients that call me occasionally for some small amount of work, but it’s only about $450 a month on average, and that’s not included in my monthly income reports. So small in fact I don’t consider it a day job anymore as I do almost all the work remotely, and only on the 5Th day, of the 3rd week, of the 1st blue moon. Most often this work is done at anywhere from $80-$120 an hour, so you see I am used to making WAY MORE, thank these little trickles of money coming in from all over. However one thing is true: Little streams turn into bigger streams, like the Mighty Mississippi

In case you are wondering what an IT consultant does, in my case I am a Network Engineer. I go to small and medium to larger medium sized companies who can’t or don’t want to afford a full time IT guy. I set up their computer network, or fix their existing one(hired gun sorta stuff), and then get it all running just right so it doesn’t break too much, install backup procedures, and then remote access stuff so I can monitor and fix any problems from this desk I am at right now.

I set up Mail Servers, File Servers, I do hosting and some website design or WordPress installs. I mainly just make sure that companies can come in, in the mornings and go right to work. Most of the companies I deal with depend on their computers to earn money. Companies like Interiors Designers, Architects, Lawyers, Doctors and other creative types.

April Monthly Income Report

It’s been almost 2 months since I posted to this blog, only because I am busy with my other sites and niches, that I have a hard time writing to this blog at times. I’m so busy at times that I forget to post to this blog. My apologies, I will try to post at least twice a week from now on.

So the last income report I gave was totaled at $1,356.91 for the month of March, and I posted this on April 1st. The previous income report was for December 2009 and that amount was for $1,294.78. This months income was about $350 less than the last income report coming in at $977.53. Depressing? Not really, I’ve only been doing this for almost a year now and my income before this was pretty much maybe $100 per month, if I was lucky, from Adsense.

The main difference from the last report to this one is the lump sum from Clickbank of $348.35 for affiliate products I sold. This months income report lacks the sales of clickbank as I am not using it that much at all now. Some here and there but I am working on new ways of monetizing my sites and it’s actually been pulling in a steadier stream in my opinion, than pushing and hyping clickbank products. Next month we will see a new column for Amazon.com and showing a growth in income from there, again it’s part of my system I have been working on.

What I have done with my clickbank stuff is added them to the end of the autoresponders for all my dating sites. I’ve added ebooks for dating tips for men and women, from clickbank so it’s pretty much on autopilot if they sell or not.

Like I said before, it’s missing a chunk from clickbank sales, but I am ok with that for now. I’ve been working on a system of monetizing sites that give good content, information to people and are fast to monetize.This project came about because while many of the programs I joined to learn their strategy were good, they were effectively too slow for making money. I say this because while my day job was going down the drain because of the current state of the economy, I needed something to supplement my income so I could continue to pay the bills and feed my family.

I am putting together my own information eBook product detailing this system. I will be revealing it soon. May’s income will show an improvement due to this new system I’m doing. I just need to Lather-Rinse-Repeat, to increase income exponentially. Members of my email list will get a copy for free, and the members of Blog Mastermind will also get a copy for free.
