Compounding Little Income Streams to make Bigger Income Streams.

I’d like to go over Decembers earnings and how Compounding Little Online Income Streams can help to form Bigger Streams of Income. This post is meant to encourage those having a hard time with making money online, by seeing how it’s working for me. Decembers income report is much better than the last one I put up, about $450.00 better than the last one. The last one was around $800.00.

Decembers Report.

So far the figures from December of 2009, which total $1,294.78, are as follows:

Dating Site I Run – $338.89

TLA(Text Link Ads) – $52.19

Direct Advertising on my www.RockabillyLifestyle.com website – $250.00

Photography Sales (I’m a photographer too) – $150.00

Various Affiliate Sales – $173.70

Contextual Ad Placement on 5 sites – $330.00

Again the total of all these is $1,294.78 which is pretty darn cool if you ask me, it’s gone up about $400 since my last earnings report, that I actually took down a while ago.

Compounding effects of little income streams.

In Yaro Starak’s Blog Mastermind Program, which I am enrolled in, he talks about compounding: “The traffic secret that every blogger knows is the power of compounding.” I am now seeing the effects of compounding this month and I’ve only been doing this for about 7 months now. I think Iam doing pretty good considering I have been totally flaking on a couple of my blogs. I have several blogs I run, most of which are hobby related and stuff I am very interested in. I know some people do blogs on topics they could care less about, but I just can’t do that. I have to have a passion in order to write about something, otherwise people will see right through me and know it’s fake.

So above I have 6 different little income streams. Each one alone, is not much money, however the effect and power of all of them together is worth $1,294.78 per month to me. That’s most of my rent payment right there. In today’s economy my day job is going downhill. I am an IT consultant and I manage 6 different companies networks and computer systems. Several of those companies are in debt to me by 3+ months, and I haven’t been paid in those 3 months by them. That’s several thousand dollars that I am out each month and needed to supplement that somehow.

Where and How I started.

I got my start accidentally through Ebay. I sell Hellraiser Puzzle Boxes on Ebay and I was also interested in Costume and Vintage Jewelry. I educated myself on the jewelry and I make and sell the puzzle boxes on Ebay. I realized when things weren’t selling that well on Ebay lately, that somethign was terribly wrong. That’s about when I realized the economy was going downhill fast and I needed to find a way to supplement.

Looking for an alternative.

I started looking around, bought a couple things, several bottles of  Snake Oil as I was still learning what’s legitimate out there and whats not, and that’s when I stumbled upon Blog Mastermind, For Desperate Buyers Only, Niche Profit Classroom and Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate by Chris Rempel. I also stumbled upon 31 days to Build a Better Blog which is the best 19.95 I’ve spent on a product in a long time. If you want to learn about blogging and making an income, I suggest reading that. If you’ve got $97.00 a month you can spare for 6 months, then I Highly Suggest Signing Up for Yaro’s Blog Mastermind. That is a COMPLETE course in and of itself and I highly recommend it. If you don’t know anything at all about Blogging, what it is and isn’t, then I would suggest checking into Yaros “Become a Blogger Course”. This will teach you what is blogging, how to set it up completely and how to star blogging and make your first money, even if you have NO CLUE about blogging.

Optimizing what I already had going.

I had been running a dating service for people with a certain health issue for 13 years, when I started blog mastermind. I was making some money with it monthly, but not as much as I am starting to make now. In the blog mastermind forums you will meet all kinds of people willing to help you out for free. They are all in there for several reasons, to make money, to learn more about making money online, and helping others make money online too.

I found a few people who helped me to look at my dating site, optimize the keywords to pull in more traffic and helped to optimize the contextual advertising on the site to bring in more money from that as well. This was about 4 months ago and I posted about the site and my findings. It’s been 4 months now and the income from the site keeps going up a little bit each months, as does the income streams from my other little streams.

The Most Supremely Ultimate Important thing.

The most supremely important thing I’ve found about all this making money online stuff is being consistent. Through consistency we built discipline, and through discipline we are able to push through the times when we feel like giving up, and putting the blog down. I hit a little bt of burnout a few Weeks or months ago, as I have been doing this on several blogs for a little while now.  Through consistency I have been building traffic which is the other most important thing about making money online. Traffic Traffic Traffic. Without it you have NOTHING. It is where all sales are generated and where all word of mouth comes from and all incoming links come from. If you don’t believe me, try selling something to nobody. Then you will understand the importance of Traffic! That and good content.

Here’s the All in One SEO plug in for your word press blog. This is one of the “Must Have” Plug ins for your blog. This is for search engine optimization(SEO). Check it out.

This Plug in is for making a blog a bit more search engine friendly. Most of us want the search engines to “like” our pages, so we use something like this to make it so. Most Websites that are properly coded are SEO Friendly, however when we start using canned CMS sites such as word press or any other type of CMS(content management system) we run into the effects of coding and such on the SEO friendliness of our site. This plug in makes it much friendlier.

Do you ever go to a coffee shop late at night and just sit there and relax and people watch? or take your laptop and headphones and browse the net, and people watch? I do and I love it. As long as I have my laptop and an internet connection I am good to go. There are several sites I like getting podcasts from and free pdfs reports and blueprints, and I will just sit and read or listen to a podcast and zone out.

These are some of my most favorite ways to come up with ideas for more niches or ways for online marketing. At a coffee shop I can sit and watch people and just totally relax, and when I relax that’s when the creative ideas start to flow. I see things, people, interactions, needs or wants and they give me ideas. Ideas turn into pdf reports or downloads or attachments I send out to my email list. Sometimes they go viral and the next thing I know I am joint venturing with someone doing a new niche site or membership site.

All you need is:

• a laptop
• headphones
• a couple of dollars(for coffee)
• nothing else to do
• and a cool loungy coffee shop

I go to coffee shops to get away from it all, to get away from the house, the wife, the daughter and just decompress. Unwind from a long day of either coding that new niche site or dating site and not being bothered by anyone. In my own little world.

I can even watch a netflix movie or some TV episode if I want from netflix, with the watch instantly feature. I can also go to Amazon.Com and get some episodes of Battlestar Galactica or some other TV or movie and watch those as well. The list goes on…

I love being wired…

Yaro Starack is probably one of the most widely known bloggers on the planet. I personally kept running into his blog over and over again, when I was researching different IM strategies. Seems Yaro does a bit of interviewing of other IM’ers, and any time I googled a subject  I would find at least one reference to his blog.

Yaro has done well for himself and teaches people about blogging. Not HOW TO BLOG, but about blogging as a business and how to make a living from it. His site adn his posts and such are no nonsense and no hype. I LIKE THAT. Man finally someone who is not trying to sell me everythign adn then some, b ut someone who is honest, real and tells a straight story. You have got to check out his site: http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com, you will find a plethora of information there and you will also find me there as well.

I like to go there to find podcasts about different IM strategies and interviews with other people. A few of the IM strategies I follow I found through Yaros website. and I will probably find a few more. One strategy I found recently that iam checking out is Niche Profit Classroom. It’s a style of Niche marketing that I happen to agree with adn therefore follow, and I foudn it through a podcast from yaros website. If you have a chance to go there do it, you will be amazed at the amount of content and good information he has there. His podcasts are very informative and all the people he interviews are well spoken and knowledgeable. Not to mention a lot of them are “Gurus”.

These next two eBooks will be my newest reviews, I am going to cozy up in the couch next to my Lady and have a good read. I have heard these two books are well worth my money, but I need to read and see for myself. I want to see if I can learn anything new from them. Stay tuned as I have heard so much good stuff about these two eBooks and the Authors of them, that I am looking for a good read.

OK the first review for this site is the “Cash Cow Guide to AdSense Wealth”, by Stephen Crooks. When I was starting my Internet marketing Entrepreneurial Business, I started blogging and was using WordPress. WordPress, a great blogging software, is what we use here on this site but is is also what I use on all of my blogging sites. I have several sites that are not just about making money, they are about health and helping others live a better life. But back to my topic, Stephen was in a forum for internet marketeers selling a guide to Adsense , and he spoke a good talk. I checked out his sales page and liked what I saw, especially after what I read in the forum and I bought it. The main reason I bought the package was the AdSense ready WordPress templates he was giving away. 30 templates that were especially formatted for WordPress, having the AdSense set in advantageuos spots in the templates, and nice looking to the eye. That was the main catch for me. The he included some adsense reports from another person, Jason Oickle. I still have yet to get to the reports by Jason Oickle, but the “Cash Cow Guide to AdSense Wealth” by Stephen Crooks I finally got to. What I read opened my eyes about AdSense, and the way people look at Blogs. By this time I had already been making a nice inome from AdSense, but what I was reading was really going to turn the lights on, in terms of how I looked at blogging and placement of my ads. If you are new to blogging, and want to get a jump on AdSense Income, or if you are a veteran, you should check this out as well, I learned quit a bit fromt his. One thing I liked reading about was the heat maps from Google. This is a definite must read and a sure money maker. Definitely a tool in my bag of tricks.
